TRANSPORTATION GUIDE

Sounders FC is proud to be the first carbon neutral professional soccer team in North America and the first carbon neutral pro sports team in the United States. We encourage our fans to join us in this effort to protect our planet by taking advantage of the many public transportation options available in the region on your next trip to Lumen Field.

Our friends at Sound Transit have compiled a comprehensive resource for how to use their services to get to Lumen Field for Sounders Matchday. Start planning your trip to the stadium using public transportation here!

Ride Share

If you’re using a ride share service to get to or from Lumen Field, have your driver drop you off at one of these points: King St. & Occidental on the North side or Royal Brougham & Occidental on the South side of the stadium.

Bike & Scooter Share

Using a bike or scooter share service is a fun way to get to a match at Lumen Field. If you choose this method of transportation, please be conscientious of other fans and park your bike or scooter out of the roads and main walking routes.

Bicycle Parking

Bicycles may be parked at the bike racks on the North end of the stadium at the owner’s risk. Bikes may not be locked to fences, posts, trees, or signs.

For select matches, a bike valet service provided by Cascade Bicycle Club is available along Occidental Avenue near the North Parking Lot. This service is free of charge. Exact dates of operation will be made available in advance of each match and are subject to change. If you would like to find out if a certain match will have Bike Valet, please contact us.

Car Parking

Parking is available in the North Lot, Lumen Field Garage (south end of Lumen Field), Metro Garage (east of the stadium), and Union Station (northeast of the stadium).

Parking in the North Lot and Lumen Field Garage is restricted to pass holders on matchdays. Season ticket members can purchase a season-long pass through their Sounders FC account representative. For non-pass holders, our other garages are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Traffic

As the Seattle area continues to grow, additional events may lead to increased traffic congestion in the area. Keep in mind that concerts and events at the WAMU Theater, as well as Mariners and Kraken games happening on Sounders matchdays will impact traffic when trying to get to Lumen Field.

Construction and improvement projects around the city, such as the West Seattle Bridge closure can also make your trip to Lumen Field more difficult. Check out this West Seattle traffic resource for details on how to make your trip easier.
